Guide To Fishing At Coffeen Lake
AKA: Coffeen Reservoir

Although it is one of the smaller lakes in central Illinois, Coffeen Lake is known for producing some big fish. This 1,070-acre lake, at the town of Coffeen has 48 miles of shoreline, lots of coves, and scenic views all around.
Big catfish, stripers and largemouth bass are common. Crappie, bluegill and other sunfish also thrive here in good numbers. Boat motors of 25 horsepower or less are allowed on the lake, and it is popular with kayak and canoe enthusiasts. Coffeen lake boat ramp is located mid lake on the west side of the lake.
