A no-wake lake for fishing in calm waters, Lake Wanahoo offers a nice choice of species for anglers. Walleye, catfish, bass, crappie, sunfish and northern pike are plentiful in this serene fishing lake. Northern pike are catch-and-release only.
The lake has plenty of cover with brush, trees and rocky shorelines for fish to use as cover. This 637-acre lake is located one mile north of Wahoo, NE, and has well over one-hundred campsites ranging from tent sites to RV spaces with electrical hookups. Excellent boat ramps make launching all types of watercraft from canoes and kayaks to fishing boats and pontoon boats. Numerous fishing jetties, two of which are handicap accessible, provide anglers an expanded experience for fishing from shore. Additionally, much of the shoreline is accessible via roads and walkways.
