The lake contains a variety of both, including bass, crappie, trout, sunfish, perch and pike. These same species can be found in the two small connected pools, Lily Pond and Little Lake. A boat launch ramp is located in the channel leading from the south end of St Catherine Lake into Little Lake, off W Lake Road. Fishing enthusiasts can find areas for fishing from the bank at Lake St. Catherine State Park as well as other open areas around the lake not on private property.
