Catfish, crappie, sunfish, white bass, yellow perch, hybrid stripers, and striped bass are among the other popular species found in Lake Oconee. Catfish, including channel catfish and flathead catfish, can be caught using bottom fishing techniques with live or cut bait. Crappie and sunfish are commonly found around brush piles, fallen trees, and docks, with anglers using jigs, minnows, or small live bait for success.
