AKA: Pat Mayse Reservoir
What to fish for...
Fishing for largemouth bass, channel catfish, flathead catfish, black crappie, white crappie, bluegill and white bass at Pat Mayse Lake in East Texas.

With over 60 miles of shoreline, Pat Mayse Lake (Pat Mayse Reservoir) provides plenty of potential for fishing enthusiasts. This 5,900-acre lake in the northeast part of Texas, at Powderly, is a great place for catfishing from the bank. Bass fishing tops the list among locals, but the lake also has populations of catfish, crappie, sunfish and white bass. Boat ramps for family boats, pontoons, bass boats and all types of fishing boats can be found at numerous places around the lake. From the campgrounds, as well as other access points, a canoe or kayak can be portaged to the water. Much of the upper part of the lake has trees, brush and aquatic vegetation which the fish and baitfish use as cover.
