Fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout, cutthroat trout, yellow perch and northern pike at Spinney Mountain Reservoir in Colorado.

Designated as Gold Medal Water, Spinney Mountain Reservoir is notorious for big rainbow trout. This 2,500-acre lake, in the central part of the state, is also a great fishery for yellow perch, northern pike and brown trout. Bank fishing is popular and there are over 10 miles of shoreline.
Two boat ramps for all types of boats. Canoes, kayaks, pontoons, pleasure boats and all types of fishing boats are welcome here with no limit on horsepower. Rental boats, fishing tackle, supplies and a campground with RV hookups are available, less than a mile from the lake.
