Boating enthusiasts are pleased to know there are four boat ramps that serve the public at Grand Lake, plus there are rental boats available. Anglers come here for great smallmouth bass and trophy northern pike fishing. Other species in the lake include crappie, walleye, trout, sunfish and perch. This large body of water is a 5,700-acre lake in the northeast corner of the lower peninsula. It has 35 miles of shoreline to survey during the season, and there is good Ice fishing in winter, especially for big perch and walleye. While this lake is best fished from a boat, determined anglers can find places for fishing from the bank.
