Guide To Fishing At Schoodic Lake
AKA: Schoodic Reservoir

A quality cold-water fishery, Schoodic Lake is a 7,100-acre lake in the central part of the state, at Lake View Plantation. Landlocked salmon and Togue (lake trout) thrive in this deep, clean-water reservoir.
The lake is also home to brook trout, smallmouth bass, sunfish and perch. In season fishing for bass and sunfish along the thirty plus miles of shoreline is productive, and trolling and jigging for trout and salmon is very effective. Ice fishing for trout, salmon and perch is popular. Rental boats, a marina, stores and lodging are open to the public. The main boat launch ramp is located on the west side of the lake at Knights Landing, off Fire Road #4. Much of the west shores of the lake are developed, however the east side of the lake is not providing numerous places for fishing from the bank.
